Committees​

Communication and Advocacy

This committee develops advocacy and communication strategies to build and promote CLP’s reputation through initiatives that captures regulatory, scientific community, academe, media, general public and relevant industries. It coordinates closely with other CLP committees on their various activities to ensure communications.

Technical and Regulatory

The Technical and Regulatory Committee addresses issues and concerns relating to registration, research and development, manufacture, storage and distribution, use and handling of pesticides. The committee recommends policies for adoption and or promulgation by the regulatory agencies in coordination with the academe/science community and industry associations and professional societies. It also conducts activities that will enhance the capacity of the regulatory officers of member companies.

Responsible Care

The Committee plans and coordinate industry wide programs on the responsible use of pesticides, resistance management, empty container management, integrated pests’ management, sustainable agriculture and soil conservation. In doing so, it coordinates with the regulatory agencies, industry associations, field staff of member companies, farmers associations and government agencies like the Department of Agriculture and its offices, agencies and bureaus, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Local Government Units.

Environmental Science

This committee covers issues related to registration, responsible use and handling of chemicals for non-crop uses, such as in public health (e.g. vector control), termite control, stored products, and rodent control.

Seeds
​
The committees takes up and addresses Freedom-to-Operate issues and challenges arising from government regulatory policies and commercial factors that affect international movement, R&D and commercialization of biotech and hybrid seeds.  It also coordinates industry efforts in promoting acceptance of biotechnology and in supporting the development and implementation of science-based regulatory system of biotechnology and other seed innovations.
