CropLife builds more partnerships in Cagayan Valley, Mimaropa
CropLife Philippines is continuing to build more partnerships and strengthen its ties with agriculture stakeholders in the country by conducting more trainings on the responsible use of pesticides and insect resistance management.
CLP recently held separate events in Cagayan Valley and MIMAROPA in partnership with the FPA Cagayan Valley Region, CLP Regional Action Network- Cagayan Valley and the local governments in the provinces of Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan which was well received by attendees.
The training in the Cagayan Valley was attended by farmers from Aurora Isabela while the event organized by the Agricultural Training Institute in MIMAROPA was attended by 70 participants from LGUs and the agriculture sector.
“We are happy that after the trainings, the participants understood the importance of capacity building through our programs and expressed willingness to partner with us for our future activities. It is our goal for these information to benefit the farmers who are the frontliners of the agriculture industry,” CLP Executive Director Edilberto de Luna said. “By arming these stakeholders with the proper knowledge and tools, we are hoping that what they learn can be applied to their farms and help them improve their production and increase their incomes.”
